Syrian President Bahar al-Assad, whom we can now call "the second butcher of Hama," has revealed himself as Nostradamus' "bloody Alus" or Alus sanguinaire as I have predicted on my site for many years now. The death toll now stands at 2,417. His war, labeled by me long ago as "The War of Alus" appears to be in progress at this time. What was an extension of the Arab Spring demonstrations and peaceful revolutions has, unlike Libya which is now a civil war and an international war with Nato, become the worst state-sponsored slaughter of innocents since Saddam Hussein attacked the Shi'a and Kurds following the 1991 war and Rifaat al-Assad orchestrated the great atrocity of Hama in 1982.

Two possible translations from Nostradamus I have made are:

Nostradamus, Quatrain 6.33 ~

His last hand through the bloody Alus, his protection by sea will not be guaranteed:
Between two rivers, dreading the military hand, the black and angry one will make him repent.

His last hand through the bloody Alus, cannot by the sea to guarantee:
Between two rivers, dreading the military hand, black will be the angry repentance.

Since June, Assad has been pushing his tanks and troops near the Turkish border, attacking towns, slaughtering 2,417 people thus far at last count, and driving thousands more as refugees into Turkey. Turkey has repeatedly warned Assad that it will go to war with Syria if the military assaults do not cease. In addition, Nato and the US have warned Assad he faces a possible war, with Nato member Turkey leading the charge. Iran has made threats of its own against Turkey, Nato, and the United States if such military action is taken. Russia has stopped short of threats, but has condemned any US-Turkish military intervention in Syria. Even Iraq has threatened to get into the conflict and that, along with Turkish, Iranian, and US involvement, would be the final ingredient I have long ago warned would constitute "The War of Alus" ... and Israel need not even be involved (although I suspect over time it will get sucked in, one way or another).

We may now be on the eve of such a war. My base 7 system indicated this would not happen until October 2012 on You must be logged in to see this link. but it could end up being a year early. This war would in time become linked with other conflicts and operations now in progress such as Libya, Iraq, and Afghanistan; and those yet to take place, such as a new Arab-Israeli conflict and a US-led war against Iran, a war that might possibly spread into Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

This is would become the great Middle East war prophets such as Alois Irlmaier, the Seer of Krems, and Erna Stieglitz indicate will precede an Eastern/Russian invasion of Europe and World War III.

Libya and an AQIM/popular uprising overthrow of Morocco is obviously the conduit by which the Iranian-led axis would take the war into southern Europe. Turkey, long prophesied by Nostradamus as the country to be invaded and conquered by Persia (Iraq), probably with the help of Russia or else other former Soviet allies, would be also be the beachhead by which an Iranian-led axis would enter into the Balkans and thus begin the great war prophesied at the beginning of Daniel 11 by "the king of Persia" against "the realm of Grecia."

Those who wondered why the U.S and its European allies limit their reaction to the Syrian massacre of its citizens to lip service only should listen to the Russian offered explanation. The Russians believe that the message NATO and the U.S are sending Syria and ultimately Iran is, "we are coming soon to attack you." More at You must be logged in to see this link.

Assad toughs it out against US-Turkish ultimatum to halt military crackdown - August 8, 2011.

As his tanks and artillery stormed the eastern Syrian town of Deir al-Zour, killing 100 civilians in one day, the US and Turkey Sunday night, Aug. 7 began to turn the screw on President Bashar Assad: US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asked Turkey's foreign minister Ahmet Davutoglu to press Syria to "return its military to the barracks," during his visit to Syria Tuesday.

Behind the demand was an ultimatum that if Assad continued on his present bloody path, NATO member Turkey would intervene militarily in the crisis.

However, the Syrian ruler with backing from Tehran spurned the ultimatum even before the Turkish minister reached Damascus. "He will be given an even tougher message to take home," said one of Assad's top advisers.

debkafile's Iranian sources report that in the last few days, Tehran has repeatedly warned Ankara that Iran will not stand aside for a military operation against Syria and would come to the aid of the Assad regime. It was indicated that Turkish attacks on Syrian military targets would bring forth Iranian attacks on the Turkish army and American bases in Turkey ... more at You must be logged in to see this link.

On that we both agree Conor!

Here's the danger that worries me!

Who is fomenting the riots /protests there?

IS this like those poor Iraqis under Saddam Hussein the evil guy with all those weapons of mass disappearance?

Is this the same as the dissatisfaction in Afghanistan of the poor poppy / opium growers?

Same thing in Libya - they arent happy either under that terrible muamar Qaddafi

So really speaking we should bring them democracy, (and while we are there steal all their oil)!

Course the poor people who aren't happy under Chinese occupation in Tibet?... we shouldn't interfere and bring them democracy at the point of a gun and at the end of aerial bombing - becase lets face it they got no oil and worse their occupier China owns most of our world debt and could make our lives very uncomfortable very quickly if they call in their loans!!

So we should only save the populous of oil rich nations where they have the natural resources we need to pay back the expenditure to save them.

Makes economic sense when you think about it - the poor unhappy in Somalia starving to death in drought after drought - what point saving them?

Nope this bringing democracy and freedom to people is all about freeing them of ownership of their natural resources, because lets face it they would have a headache worrying about what to do with all that wealth so we can save them the anguish and grief.

Communism our enemy is all about when the common people own the nations oil & capitalism is when the top 1% of our western society who are the corporations leaders of the world, own all the community resources and enrich-en themselves at everyone else's expense from them.

Ours is obviously a much more fair arrangement!

I am afraid that the stability of Turkey will be rocked by refugees streaming north across the border. The Lebannon and Jordan to the south will also face refugees leaving, further de-stabilising the region.

At the moment Israel is making no comment about it, I am wondering are they happy to let Syria self destruct in order to weaken the Lebannon, Turkey and Jordan, so that when Palestine declares itself to the UN as a self governing nation which is expected soon, Palestine won't have any strong allies in the region to support it. Afterall Egypt is still a mess.
