The "next" Great Depression is predicted to happen in 2008, yet a pandemic predicted to come this year(2006). With a pandemic coming, many people would not attend work nor would people be in schools...wouldn' t the pandemic be the catalyst to start the "next" great depression?

Did the flu pandemic of 1918, the worst in US history thus far and the worst in the modern history of the world, trigger a stock market crash and/or an economic depression in the same year (1918)?
Of course not.
The Great Stock Market Crash of 1929 and resulting Great Depression of 1930 did not occur until 11 years after the 1918 Flu Pandemic (often called an "epidemic" although it killed millions worldwide).

First of all, allow me to express my thanks to all of you who have expressed your condolences concerning my father's death on April 14 either on this forum or by email.
I really did wish to wait a bit longer before posting anything on here or answering some of your questions on other topics, but I feel I need to clarify my remarks which have been "resurrected" in this thread by Pacino.
You will notice the date of the exchange was June 17-18 of 2006 ... almost three years ago.
At that time I was warning about a potential pandemic that might occur during that year (2006) based on the Asian Flu Pandemic of 1957. This is what GiverSSJ was addressing. Even in 2006 I was warning about a stock market crash possibly occurring in October 2008. So GiverSSJ was asking if a 2006 pandemic could spark a 2008 depression. I felt it unlikely that a 2006 pandemic (which did not happen, as it turns out) would trigger a stock market crash and depression in late 2008, well over two years later. Also my knowledge of history, such as it was in 2006, could find no modern precedent where an epidemic triggered an economic depression.
Last year I posted my prediction concerning the next period of danger for a pandemic: September 2009 (91, 7 x 13, years after the Spanish Influenza of 1918). It can be accessed on page 2009 (Part Five), located at http://www.newprophecy.net/2009part5.htm
The Swedish prophet Anton Johansson predicted that a global plague will kill 25 million people before World War III breaks out. It was one of many things he predicted would occur in the months/years prior to the war. So I am indeed very concerned about this Mexican Swine Flu epidemic ... bearing in mind that April 2009 is only five months premature of September 2009.
Three modern pandemics always to be mindful of:
1918 Spanish Influenza ... danger active now in 2009
1957 Asian Flu ... last vector in 2006, next vector 2013
1968 Hong Kong Flu ... last vector in 2003, next vector 2010

Mike this is a bit retarded!
We are just few hours ago, President Obama declares national emergency for H1N1 swine flu BS. And tahts October 24, 2009. I wonder what else they are cooking for October 25, 2009? Perhaps nothing, or perharps we might see some Banking Holiday being announced?
According to the article below, the national Emergency powers trump the Bill of Rights. So technically its like Marshall Law, but im not pretty sure that this article is stating real facts or not. If it is, then were in the first step before civil war breaks and marshall law instated + financial chaos

Thats the public explanation for this, but the real agenda behind this declaration may be far more sinister. Declaring a national emergency immediately gives federal authorities dangerous new powers that can now be enforced at gunpoint, including:
The power to force mandatory swine flu vaccinations on the entire population.
The power to arrest, quarantine or "involuntarily transport" anyone who refuses a swine flu vaccination.
The power to quarantine an entire city and halt all travel in or out of that city.
The power to enter any home or office without a search warrant and order the destruction of any belongings or structures deemed to be a threat to public health.
The effective nullification of the Bill of Rights. Your right to due process, to being safe from government search and seizure, and to remain silent to avoid self-incrimination are all null and void under a Presidential declaration of a national emergency.
None of this means that federal agents are going to march door to door arresting people at gunpoint if they refuse the vaccine, but they could if they wanted to. Your rights as an American are no longer recognized under this national emergency declaration.
