I made a reasonably big post about this in the wrong section it seems!
So just my thoughts about the third secret of fatima,
I donīt know wether the prophecy that has been revealed to the public is the whole version of it or truth, but to me it sounds that if it is this prophecy has yet to come.
"the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins"
"having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions."
Notice that it states the lord is walking through a city in ruin, and the scene is also described with the butchering of alot of christians. I recall prophecies stating rome will be devastated and conquered by the antichrist, so might it be that the city he was wading through might infact be rome? To me the presence of alot of christian people with stature in the church might only point out it is.
It is the bastion of christian faith, could be a city in ruin, and it would explain the mass slaughter of christians.
Maybe it is an event to occur during world war 3?

I must have missed your post. Actually, this subject has been discussed on this forum many times since 2001. Anyway, I devote an entire page of my website to papal-related prophecy on Pope Benedict XVI and the Rose Prophecy at http://www.newprophecy.net/popejohnpaul.htm
You will note from the URL that this page was originally used to warn the late Pope John Paul II not to travel to certain places since I created the page back in May 1999 (the initial text I used at the time was partly from the 1998 ms of my book, Nostradamus and the Final Age).
It was updated for Benedict and further clarified after JP2's death.
Anyway, on this page, after I discuss the death of John Paul II and the election of Benedict XVI as they may relate to St. Malachy's prophecy of the 111 (or 112) popes, I then move on to an analysis and comparison of the Third Secret of Fatima and Nostradamus' Quatrain 2.97. This is the quatrain:
Quatrain 2.97
Romain Pontife garde de t'approcher,
De la cité que deux fleuves arrouse,
Ton sang viendras aupres de lā cracher,
Toi & les tiens quand fleurira la Rose.
Roman Pontiff beware of your approaching,
Of the city where two rivers water,
Your blood you will come to spit in that place,
Both you and yours when blooms the Rose.
What follows is from another post of mine on this forum. I feel it summarises what is on the page concerning Quatrain 2.97 and its relationship to the Third Secret of Fatima more briefly:
If the pope visits a city watered by two rivers when the roses bloom, he will bleed from the mouth, Nostradamus warns. He is very specific too when he directly addresses the pope of this prophecy when he says "both you and yours" will "spit blood in this place." It is important to note this because it means not only the pope will be spitting blood but all of the clergy people who are with him ("both you and yours"). This is why those commentators who apply Quatrain 2.97 to the death of Pope Pius IX at Valence in 1799 are wrong. They neglect the fact that the pope will not die alone but everyone who travels with him will die too.
I have been arguing since the Vatican's release of the Third Secret of Fatima that this Nostradamus vision is of the same event, but from a slightly different perspective. The "bishop in white" (the pope) is murdered by soldiers in the Fatima prophecy ... along with his clergy people. Thus, we receieve additional information from the French seer to what we know from the Fatima vision. Nostradamus tells us the season is late spring or summer, that the city is watered by two rivers, and that all those accompanying the pope will be slaughtered; the Third Secret of Fatima tells us that the city will be half-destroyed and littered with corpses and that the attack on the pope and his entourage will occur before they have chance to climb a holy mountain or hill.
If Benedict survives this year, there will be an attempt on his life in May 2009 according to the base 7 system. If Benedict dies later this year, then it will be his successor who will be in danger in May 2009. I don't know if the assassination attempt will be successful. I think if the actual vector is later, possibly August 2009, and he has fled Rome and departed to France, then he will certainly die.
So, I would agree with you, Drago, yes: I would consider this to be a "World War III" event.
Remember, if Quatrain 2.97 and the Third Secret are linked, then the city in question MUST be watered by two rivers (or at least one river and a strait or other confluence).
On my page I speculate that the city in question is Baghdad, Paris, or, most likely, AVIGNON because it lies within the V formed by the rivers Rhone and Durance.
Although, with the nuclear terrorist destruction of NYC perhaps arriving in either August 2008 or April 2009, the great city half destroyed could well be New York (the destruction of Manhattan would not be the total destruction of NYC). I could well imagine the pope travelling to New York in what would be a major media event to bless the several millions of dead. The late JP2 almost did this after 9/11, but was warned not to for some reason I can't recall. He also came close to visiting Baghdad and the ancient city of Ur in Iraq in 1998, 1999, and again in May 2001 (all visits were canceled).
However, sticking with the city most suggested by prophecy, Avignon, the holy mountain of Avignon, as suggested by a viewer to my website, could well be Le rocher des Doms which looks a lot like the one of prophecy.
As for the cross at the top of Le rocher des Doms, it likely belongs to the Cathedrale Notre Dame des Doms.
Anyway, despite this part of the Third Secret of Fatima being revealed, concerning the assassination of the pope and his clergy people, I still believe there was more to it that was not released in 2000. The Vatican leak in the early 1960s that the millions would die moment to moment, hour to hour, as the oceans turn to vapour, I think, was probably based on true text not released pertaining to "the Great Comet" (which the Vatican has always acknowledged will come due to the many Catholic prophecies of its coming during a great and terrible future war, the Vatican even having its own observatory). This "Great Comet" may be Planet X and the destruction foretold in the Vatican leak of the Third Secret in the 1960s sounds consistent with what would happen during the closest passage of PX. Global nuclear war would also explain some of it as well.
