LOL no CERNs LHC would not cause such events! I have been reading about it ad nauseuem lately. It is harmless.
I was actually thinking it could have been more precursor effects of Nibiru.

Ok, So here is a prediction that has some reflection to Mike's about a double earthquake coming up soon. The site is www.urbansurvival.com. They are the ones that do the whole web bot predictions project. Here is what George Ure wrote on one of his most recent daily postings about the subject matter:
Coping: Quakes Rising
As of this morning, we are sitting about one month in front of what the predictive linguistics of www.halfpasthuman.com show to be two very large nasty ugly earthquakes that pop out of their modelspace around December 10/12.
I mention this because of a dandy chart that popped up on the "Horizon Project" web site this week (click here to see it) that shows major earthquakes (involving loss of life) have been going up dramatically. Also, read the short accompanying article.
Amidst the data we also notice the timing of something SoCal emergency preparedness groups are calling the "Great southern California ShakeOut" which happens on Thursday.
The timing may be coincidental, but when Universe provides a whole lot of clues, I sometimes actually get off my duff and do something. Despite living in a relatively earthquake-free area, we will, nevertheless, be putting L brackets on some new book cases and taking other measures to ensure that the 'big stuff' doesn't come off the walls in a harmful way.
Living on a sailboat for years taught me the value of having everything in the boat tied down in such a way that the boat could be turns 45 degrees, either direction, shaken hard, and have no visible impact. True, that's hard to do for a house, but a little shock cord or bungee here and there for the big stuff is actually on my agenda.
I wouldn't presume to tell you what to do, but I'm refreshing the stored water and a lot of other activities that are directed toward an increased level of readiness. Never know when it will pay off.
So, my question to Mike is "Is there any precedent for a double earthquake in the month of December?" |

Hi, keeping tabs up on the double earthquake thing. Interestingly enough, the whole webbot experiment recently came up with the double earthquake prediction and they set it for December 10th to the 12th. Well, as we all know, that was a bust, but George pointed out something interesting on 1/5/09 as added below:
quote: Monday January 5, 2009 - Oh THOSE Twin Quakes
Well lookie here: Twin Quakes popping all over the place lately. There were the two around December 26th that affected 95,000 people. Then we had the twin 7+ quakes Sunday morning off Indonesia that touched off some small tsunamis in Japan. Early, it seems, but not wrong on that linguistic set; still pondering all the 'financial earthquake' and 'financial market aftershocks of Madoff which made this all a very confusing stew... Well, at least that's done...unless we have the BIG follow-on quake today or tomorrow. That'd be a bummer...
And the largest of all bummers would be for these latest twins to be leading into something popping off at Yellowstone and there a,re some who are quite worried about what could be happening (or about to happen) there...noting as one author does, that the caldera is a little late for a major eruption. About 40,000 years late...and yeah, that would sure fill in the dislocation/isolation/aid from foreign countries linguistic set, and maybe ruin enough food production down wind to bring along those food shortage and rationing descriptors. But let's not go there...probably just petulant magma flowing.
I hope.
Now these few doubled earthquakes might not mean a whole lot, or they might be a phenomenon which is building. If so, to have two in the U.S. seems like a possibility. The issue, of course, would be the timing. I guess it is just something to keep on the radar for future consideration. |

Interesting.
What still puzzles me is the fact almost all of the major quakes in recent years are in Asia, and no signifcant quake recorded in North America.
Conor kept saying this was a concern due to build up of energy and should it be released a massive quake would occur - maybe the double quake is required to release all this energy?
In any case time continues on by, and there hasn't been the big one - yet. |

A volcano erupted in Japan yesterday. The Pacific Rim remains active and will no doubt stay as such for a significant peiod. |

| Well halifax, Mt. Redoubt has gone off, quite explosevly. And at almost the same time, maybe a day earlier, there was an underwater volcanic eruption in Tonga, down by New Zealand, both being on the pacific rim, just oposite ends. There is definatly tension building up. I'm kind of expecting Mt. Rainier south of Seattle to blow off within the next couple of years. There hasn't been any signs that its building up pressure, But something tells me that when it does go off, it wont give us any warning, and they say that it is 'over-due'. But I imagine St. Helens will probably go first, venting off some pressure. |

| I too am expecting the Cascades to deliver some major eruptions soon too. As we have been saying for quite some time, the Pacific Rims instability is casuing havoc - everywhere except the Pacific Coast of the US. Thats where I am waiting for something big very soon. |

Luckily Kuril is very remote! This plume will produce a few nice sunsets around the northern hemisphere over the next few weeks. Spot some very red ones! |
