I have seen many anagrams, etc for those who could possible be Nostri's "mabus".
Recently one arrived on the national political scene, and put into a very prominent position for the US.
Ray Mabus was recently appointed as Secretary of the US NAvy, by Obama.
Who is he? He served as ambassador to Saudi Arabia under Clinton, but more importantly NOW he is a RAND member, a company that has multiple arms of reach into numerous middle eastern countries and companies dealing with inter-national issues.
According to the 2005 annual report, "about one-half of RAND's research involves national security issues."
Many of the events in which RAND plays a part are based on assumptions which are hard to verify because of the lack of detail on RAND's highly classified work for defense and intelligence agencies.
I would say that RAND and Ray Mabus are very much positioned to be key Players in many nations' (including the US) direction, control, etc.
Mabus is also a member of the "Council on Foreign Relations", who some say is a very active arm of the Bilderberg group.IE- The Illuminate.
At the outset of the organization, founding member Elihu Root said the group's mission, epitomized in its journal Foreign Affairs, should be to "guide" American public opinion. In the early 1970s, the CFR changed the mission, saying that it wished instead to "inform" public opinion.[7]
Why do we, as Americans, need to be "guided" in our opinions?
I say this is the Mabus to watch.

i just had to revive this thread after reading about Ray Mabus:
Ray Mabus was appointed Navy Secretary by Obama. He is 90% likely to be the Mabus of Nostradamus, and interestingly enough Ray Mabus and Obama might be linked together somehow in death:

The new secretary of the Navy Mabus sure fits with the quatrain that mentions the navy, a comet in the sky and its "terrible" effects on humans and animals. Mabus is the beast who will trigger WWWIII with the vast nuclear weapons that the Navy holds. And all that is on the verge of happening in September-October 2009 till 2010 or even 2011.
